Born drawing, self taught, tutored , college and private study with historians and philosophy focus. Initiates public art mural projects in Northern Illinois in 1972. Presenter / curator of musicians from Robert Fripp to Miles Davis, Leonard Cohen , Laura Nyro and the Runaways, privately and for Prince and a legendary music clubs in Rockford Illinois called Cafe Zero and Charlotte’s Web. Wherein he helped introduce again the contemporary poster, many of which are collectors items: Replacements, Soul Asylum, Leonard Cohen, Bob Mould, Camper Van Beethoven, etc Curated a private artist space on Orcas Island called SOUL, in the presumed manner of Aldous Huxley and Krishnamurti, whom had visited the theosophical center there at one time in the 50s-60s Makes work, produces obscure music events from Eugene Chadbourne, lori Goldston, Mount Eerie, Calvin Johnson, Mark Olson with Ingunn Ringvold, and personal projects. Participates in the EU farm of the world curation for 2018 in European Capitols of Culture. Random guerrilla music and art installations in Washington State, BC, Helsinki, Amsterdam, Berlin and elsewhere, continuing in 2025- with the Finnish family name in part, utililized: ULKO
