Cami Smith

Cami Smith is a Seattle-based mixed media and textile artist exploring memory, connection, and community. Her Level 7 Memory Project, supported by a 4Culture grant, gathers seventy years of memories from friends, family, and colleagues. It began with a simple gesture—asking people from every decade of her life to share a memory that made them smile. The stories she received became threads in the work, layered through paint, collage, fabric, and printed words. In a time when history is being rewritten, books are being banned, Cami’s work celebrates the importance of sharing our memories—because these stories are the glue that holds us together.
