Next Wednesday, September 2 will be a new day in the Public Display Art Gallery at ArtLove Salon. The gallery is hosting an artist reception from 4 to 7 pm on the fifth floor of the Harold Poll Building (110 Union Street) to unveil the newest group show at the gallery featuring about a dozen local artists. Some of the artists are new to the Public Display Art Gallery, and some are familiar to friends of Public Display Art and ArtLove Salon. The reception kicks off the weekly Salon Social that next week welcomes back the acclaimed drummer D'Vonne Lewis and friends.

Local artists such as Eli Kimaro, Monyee Chau, Seth Sexton, Aramis O. Hamer, Graham Franciose, Saina Heshmati and Shaun Doll will be featured in the new group show. Keep an eye on this space for confirmation on artists who will be attending.

Lewis, starring every first Wednesday at Salon Social, will play the soundtrack to this special evening. A celebrated performer, educator, and cultural force within the city’s music scene, he is known for building spaces where musicians and audiences can connect through shared rhythm, experimentation, and joy. Each month’s trio and musical direction will shift organically, creating a new experiences every gathering.

Beyond the music, Salon Social remains an open invitation to gather—whether to listen closely, move through the galleries, meet someone new, or simply spend time surrounded by art and community.
