Shunpike is welcoming over 20 artists to its various Downtown residencies with receptions across all four of its locations in the city's core on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. as part of the Fourth Friday Downtown Art Walk celebrations.

Gallery locations include, 380 Union St, 1401 4th Avenue, 1405 4th Avenue and 1501 5th Avenue. Artists will feature their work for at least six months.

The artists, collectives and organizations include, 1971 (a five-artist collective), AMAI, Aya Borucki, Calavera Industries, Carina Del Rosario, Carlos Martínez, Chloè Morris, Doodle, Gabriela Garcia Greco, Gina Ariko, Ian Shearer Studio, Jo Cosme, Kelly Haejung Paik, Lalitha Art Studio, Nicole Nora Art, Niki Keenan, Ning Wan, Pazuzu, Sapar Art Studio, Shivani Bhalla, Stephanie M. Silva Santana/ Fani, Tiana Monēt, Wemoonwalkerz | Damiano Austin, Yolanda Galery Art.

According to Shunpike, "The Storefronts & Artist Residencies program transforms empty commercial spaces into vibrant hubs for creativity and community engagement. Launched in response to the 2008 economic downturn and expanded as part of Seattle Restored (2021-2025), the program has a 15-year track record of revitalizing urban neighborhoods by turning vacant storefronts into public art exhibitions and artist residencies."
