The Coliseum of Art is launching its summer music series on Friday, in conjunction with Seattle Downtown Artwalk. The After Party is the pefect nexus point for Fair-goers and Art- Walkers to find over-the-top art and ass-shaking beats. Latin funk band R E P O S A D O blends horn driven grooves and Afro-Cuban percussion so infectiously, it makes standing still feel downright foolish.

The band goes on at 8pm and the next three hours will be filled with filled with Latin rhythm, Afrobeat, funk and soul. It's a chance to DANCE YOUR ASS OFF among large-scale installations, sculpture, light, sound, and technology by artists from across the Pacific NW.

For those who attend the Seattle Downtown Art Walk (5-8 PM), DJ Ngoma Numu is a blacksmith bending and molding drum rhythms for people to dance and vibe too.

It's an extraordinary night for both Downton Art Walk-goers and Seattle Art Fair attendees to experience Seattle’s art and music glory — and it’s FREE!

Their rhythm-driven and dynamic landscapes pull from the Caribbean, West Africa, Queens, and JP’s new home base in Seattle. REPOSADO is a collective dedicated to using the power of music to connect and transcend. Channeling the musical stylings of Fela Kuti, Fania All-Stars, Curtis Mayfield, and James Brown, they create a modern bilingual activation. Bringing heart and inspiring all to get on their feet, this is music that brings hope, respect, and celebration to the people.”
