Stefen Koller is a man of letters. He attended Cambridge University on scholarship where he double-majored in English Literature and French and would later earn a Masters in Art History and Aesthetics.

He demures, however, saying, "Qualified for nothing beyond good conversation and challenging the way people think, I talked my way into work that allowed me to spend time in museums and galleries around the world, dreaming of the day I would rescue people in the name of Art."

Koller will be sharing his knowledge, interests and passion during an intimate conversation with ekphrastic writer Janée J. Baugher next Tuesday, September 1 at 5 p.m. at ArtLove Salon (110 Union Street, 5th Floor).

Baugher is no slouch. She is the winner of Tupelo Press’s Dorset Prize for her latest book, "The Andrew Wyeth Chronicles." She has earned degrees from Boston University and Eastern Washington University. The Seattle native specializes in ekphrasis, the genre that engages in descriptions of visual works of art, such as paintings, sculptures and artifacts.
