In Spellbound, Bella Ormseth explores the hold that nature, memory, fear, and hope can have on us. Inspired by the landscape around her home and the intimacy of 17th-century Dutch genre painting, she builds her oil paintings through layers of color and translucent glazes. The exhibition reflects both her response to the wider world and her belief in beauty.
