Distant Visions, an exhibition by Linda Jo Nazarenus, explores the mysterious connections between nature, memory, and human experience. Inspired by Northern European Renaissance masters, Nazarenus uses delicate layers of oil glazes to create richly detailed landscapes and wildlife paintings. Drawing from the landscapes of Sweden and the American Southwest, her work incorporates symbolic landmarks, sacred spaces, and personal keepsakes to evoke longing, belief, and wonder. Through striking realism and otherworldly imagery, the exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the relationship between the natural world and the mysteries beyond it.
