COLISEVM OF ART: "Let There Be Light" exhibit— debuts November 2026
Submission Deadline: OCT 11, 2026

Hot on the heels of Coliseum of Art's successful summer exhibition, which ended its extended run on Sunday, September 27, we are thrilled to annouce our all-new winter exhibition will be opening in late November.
PublicDisplay.ART seeks experienced artists to join us in transforming one of Seattle’s most iconic downtown historic buildings into a winter injection of local art and light. If light is an essential part of your creation process, we want to see it!

What sort of art are we looking for? LED, neon, fluorescent and fiber-optic works; illuminated sculpture and objects; projection, video, animation and projection mapping; immersive and room-scale light environments; interactive or sensor-responsive installations; kinetic and mechanical light works; mirrors, reflective materials and infinity effects; shadow, silhouette and optical works; lasers and programmed lighting; light boxes, illuminated signage and architectural interventions; digital and generative light art; UV, blacklight, phosphorescent and glow-based works; holographic, lenticular and other illusion-based pieces; sound-and-light installations; light painting and illuminated graffiti; window installations; and exterior or architectural illumination.
If light is an essential part of your creation process, we want to see it!
We invite all artists working across the wide spectrum of light-based, illuminated, and light-responsive art to apply.
Artists will receive compensation of up to $5,000 or up to $15,000 depending on the scale of the project. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM on October 11, which is coming up quick!
We welcome artists to submit previously shown works for consideration. New works will be considered, but the artist must have a proven track record of turning things around lickety-split, as the new exhibit is scheduled to open prior to Thanksgiving.
